Five people were charged with felonies after an East Fishkill house party turned violent, police said.

A 911 report of a person thrown through a window at a party brought East Fishkill police to a house on Wilmont Court in Hopewell Junction on Aug. 18.

About 100 people were at the house party when police arrived around 12:10 a.m., said East Fishkill police Chief Kevin Keefe. The party was thrown by a 17-year-old who was home alone — "with social media, it got out of hand. He certainly didn't invite 100 people."

Police released details of the party and the arrest on Thursday.

Witnesses told police that two people were assaulted and robbed in a car down the street from the party, Keefe said. The attackers allegedly took a wallet, a cell phone and cash from the two victims.

Another person was punched and shoved into a window, then struck on the head with a glass bottle, the chief added. And another person was stabbed in the hand with a knife. Some less serious fights were reported, but no one came forward to police in those cases.

By the time police arrived, three people had been driven by friends to area hospitals with injuries, Keefe said. All of the victims were later treated and released.

East Fishkill police launched a five-day-investigation.

Four people were charged in connection to the robbery: East Fishkill residents Kienen Garrett, 19, and Besmir Latifaj, 17; and Fishkill residents Anthony Wray, 19, and Andrew Saltos, 21.

On Aug. 18, Wray was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, a felony. Garrett and Latifaj were each charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Saltos was charged Wednesday with two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of third-degree assault.

Tyler Folkes, 19, of East Fishkill, was charged with second-degree gang assault, a felony, on Monday. He's accused of being involved in one of the assaults from the party, Keefe said.

The five were arraigned in East Fishkill court and sent to Dutchess County Jail on $2,500 bails or $5,000 bonds, pending their returns to court.

No one has been charged in connection to the stabbing yet, the chief said. But the investigation into other incidents at the party is continuing and additional charges are pending.

State police assisted East Fishkill with crowd control at the party.
