FISHKILL - Construction of the building designated to house Chipotle Mexican Grill and Five Guys Burgers and Fries is "on schedule," according to David Livshin, president of the Dagar Group.

And depending on the time it takes for the chains to perform interior customization, both restaurants may open summer 2017.

"At this point we are on schedule to deliver the building to the tenants to do their own interior fit up of both restaurants on or about March 31, 2017," Livshin, managing agent for the property owner, Dutchess Holdings, LLC, said.

The 4,600-square-foot space will be built at the Hudson Valley Towne Center, 18 Westage Dr.

This would be Chipotle's first restaurant in Dutchess County. The next closest restaurant is about 18 miles north in Kingston.

The Five Guys will replace a nearby location at 703 Old Route 9.
