APPOINTMENT

Board of trustees names secretary — Rondout Savings Bank's board of trustees recently elected Francesca Szabadi as corporate secretary. Szabadi also serves as the executive administrative officer for Rondout Savings Bank and its subsidiary, Rondout Financial Services. She joined the bank in 2009 with 15 years of experience providing administrative support for not-for-profit organizations and corporations in the Hudson Valley.

Szabadi's responsibilities include supporting the compliance and risk area of the bank, managing the corporate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines and regulations, recording minutes of the board and committee meetings, and overseeing the bank's vendor management program.

Szabadi is a member of the 2015 graduating class of the Ulster Leadership Development Institute. She is a licensed New York State Notary and holds a bachelor of science degree from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in conjunction with Syracuse University.

Medical group offers free cancer screenings — The physicians of Premier Medical Group, Poughkeepsie, are donating a day of free colon cancer screenings for those in need.

Those who are uninsured or underinsured should visit www.premiermedicalhv.com and click on the "Tell Us Your Story" link on the homepage. By sharing your story you may be eligible to receive a free colonoscopy screening. The deadline to complete the form is March 31. The winners will be contacted the first week in April.

Chamber plans breakfast meeting — The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will have its monthly contact breakfast 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center, 40 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie.
